Position Overview
The Honoring Dakota Project (HDP) Apprentice role is a learning-centered, relationship-based opportunity designed to support emerging leaders interested in Indigenous-led community work, cultural lifeways, land-based practices and intercultural exchange. The Apprentice will learn through job shadowing, guided participation, and participating in supporting day-to-day organizational activities.
This role emphasizes learning, observation, and respectful engagement with artists, culture bearers, community members, and organizational partners.
Must be 18 years of age
Rate of Pay: $30 per hour
Independent Contractor/Annual contract for Jan - Dec 2026
60 - 65 hours per month with some requirements to work evenings and weekends.

Interns learn through job shadowing, guided participation, and supported involvement in day-to-day organizational activities. This role emphasizes learning, observation, and respectful engagement with artists, culture bearers, community members, and organizational partners.
This position is intentionally structured as a learning opportunity

Must be 13-18 years of age
Rate of Pay: $25 per hour
Independent Contractor/Annual contract for Jan - Dec 2026
25-30 hours per month (part-time/seasonal) with some requirements to work evenings and weekends.
